We announce the death of Eva Norma Morey of Gilmer, Texas, born in Conneaut, Ohio, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 93. Eva will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Bort and Florance Messenger Bort; her husband Alford Morey; her daughter Kathy Coy; and her siblings, Alberta Sology, Morris Bort Jr. (Jake), William Bort, Lois Priblic and June Hollad.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Morey Sr. (Carolyn), Gordon Morey (Minnie) and Connie Wilson; and her sisters, Mary Wheeler and Jean Matthews. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (101 Crawford St, Gilmer, TX 75644).
