It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Tabor of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred E. Tabor and Pearl M. Leighton Tabor; his wives, Mae Tabor and Dottie Tabor; his children, Judy Holleman and Jeff Blackstone; and his great grandchild Preslee Tabor.
He is survived by: his son Jimmy Tabor (Marianne); his grandchildren, Jace Tabor (Phylesha) and Kadie Henderson (Greg); his great grandchildren, Payton Tabor, Judson Tabor, Phynlee Tabor, Andie Henderson and James Henderson; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Skylar Hawthorne and Conner Hawthorne.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Croley Funeral Home - Gilmer (305 W Harrison St, Gilmer, TX 75644). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (1582 US Hwy 271 S, Gilmer, TX 75644).
