Kay Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Smith of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Eulalia Faye Sturdivant Fielden; her husband Red; and her father Ted Fielden. She is survived by: her daughter Amy Tarrant (Lonnie); her sisters, Sandy Steelman (Alton) and Judy Kimbrough; her grandchildren, Jacob Tarrant (Abigail Engel) and Shelby Tarrant Taylor (Justin); her great grandchildren, Kaden Lee Tarrant and James Henry Taylor; and her nieces and nephews, Susan Steelman Davis, John Paul Steelman (Becky), Todd Kimbrough (Candace) and Ellen Alexandrakis (George). She is also survived by numerous other cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Methodist Church Gilmer, Music Ministries or the American Cancer Society.
