He is survived by: his wife Karen McCardell; his children, Christopher McCardell and Sabrina McCardell; his brother Terrill McCardell; his grandchildren, Ashley McCardell, Julianna McCardell and Brianna McCardell; and his great grandchild Jesse Carey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (1582 US Hwy 271 S, Gilmer, TX 75645).
