She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Lester Payne and Esther Juanita Chevalier Payne; her husband Thomas Wright; her brother Charles "Sonny" Payne; and her grandchildren, Stefanie Wright and Preston Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Wright (Ruth), Eric Wright (Keila), Tommy Wright (Jenni), Valinda Sparks (Wes), Brenda Davis, Lindsey Martin (Brad) and Rebecca Johnson (Hayden); her siblings, Karan Bergstrom (Jon) and A. L. Payne (Donelle); and her grandchildren, Thomas Levar Wright, Brandon Wright, Jordan Wright, Summer Wright, Cameron Wright, Carson Wright, Maggie Adams, Tim Wright, Dylan Miller, Kyndal Ivy, Railey Miller, Lindsey Martin and Rebecca Johnson. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645).
