He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack "Spot" Baird and Mary Lee Epperson Baird; his son Luke Baird; his brother Ben Hasten; and his sister-in-law Susan Davis Hasten.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Sisson Baird; his siblings, Jack Baird, Charlie Baird and Sharon Hasten Penfold (Craig); his daughters, Lucy Winn (Shane) and Bonnie Jordan (Josh); and his grandchildren, Carly Winn Stewart (Kaleb), Maddie Winn Holden (Alex), Hudson Winn, Josie Jordan, Augustus Jordan, Colt Stewart and Luke Holden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gilmer City Cemetery (540 US Hwy 271 S, Gilmer, TX 75644). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Dodd Estate (1432 Black Walnut Rd, Gilmer, TX 75644).
