It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Weldon Wayne Davis of Gladewater, Texas, who passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Bell Mitchell Dhooge and Henry Louis Davis; his wife Barbara Verner Davis; his stepfather Desmond Dhooge; his siblings, Nelwyn Christopher, Melba Blake and Monte Dhooge; and his nephew Charlie Christopher.
He is survived by: his brother Patrick Dhooge (Nancy); his children, Danny Davis (Tiffany Stayart), Sandra McNeese and Andy Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Ann Brown, Marie Deskus, Susan Cariker, David Daughtery and Ronald Dean Daughtery.
