He is survived by: his wife Barbara Anne Nixon; his sons, Weston (Stephanie) of Breckenridge, CO and Travis (Ashley) of Celina, TX; and his grandchildren, Barrett, Braydon, Giles, Ava, Audrey and Liam. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Church or Samaritan's Purse, two ministries Carl deeply valued.
