Though Van may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee Grubbs and Ada Merle Grubbs (Webber). He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Grubbs; his sister Carolyn Shirley (Joe); his children, Stephanie Bullis (Todd) and Chester Weir (Kristy); and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
