It is with sadness that the passing of Arlene DeForest (Goliad, Texas) is shared. Arlene, born on May 10, 1945, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Krueger and Emilee Bethke Krueger. She is survived by: her husband Alvin DeForest; her children, Karen Saxton (Ken) and Shannon DeForest (Kari); her grandchildren, Kaid, Lucas, Emilee (Justin) and Michelle; her great grandchildren, Elliana, Abigail and Olivia; her sister Eva Nell Griffith (Gerald); and her sister-in-law Ina DeForest. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (1545 E. FM 1961, Goliad, TX 77963). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery (1545 E. FM 1961, Goliad, TX 77963).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander.
