He was predeceased by : his father Bertram Billo. He is survived by : his mother Gloria Billo; his wife Cristy Billo; his daughters, Brooke Bochat Schwartzkopf (Kaleb) and Mackenzie Billo; and his sisters, Lisa Billo Bone (Robert) and Cheryl Billo Caraway (Michael). He is also survived by daughters; many of their friends viewed him as a father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Goliad Rotary Club or the Goliad Education Foundation.

“Dear Billo family-my condolences. Being a member of VHS Class of '87 Concert Choir that Cory was president of, he chose to sing, "The Chair," at the spring show. Country roots showing, taking down the chair prop, he mentioned he choked up, but got through. I remember telling him, "Cory, you put a good spin on it." My senior song to follow was, "Don't cry out loud." In college, saw Cory at one of brother Jay's dances, I told him, "don't spin me." His answer, "just a little twirl." True gentleman!”
