He was predeceased by: his father James Hewitt; and his birth mother Suzanne Wattier. He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his sister Jamie Salz; his mother Sandra Hewitt; his nephew Cole Johnson; and his niece Peyton Salz. He is also survived by many cousins, in-laws.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Care Animal Rescue in Mingus, Texas, a cause that David felt strongly about.
