John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luisa Noyola Vera and Rosalio Gonzales Alvarez; his son Johnny Alvarez; his grandson Kenneth Saunders; and his great grandchild Braeden Pinkston.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Alvarez of Graham; and his daughters, Sylvia Shewmake (Joey) of Graham, Peggy Hannah (Eldon) of Graham, Cindy Saunders of Ennis and Lisa Blair (E. C.) of Graham. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel (700 Oak St, Graham, TX 76450). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
