He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rutter and Helen Rutter; and his siblings, William "Bill" Rutter and Joyce. He is survived by: his wife Marcia; and his children, David (Laura) of Conroe, Texas, Suzi (Shannon) of Godley, Texas and Greg of Granbury, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandson; one niece and one nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Martin's Funeral Home (100 S Morgan St, Granbury, TX 76048). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Hood County Animal Shelter in Joe's memory.
