He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Marlin and Cassie Marlin; his sister Ernestine Marlin; his wife Margaret Marlin; his sons-in-law, James Sumrall and Robert Jarvis IV; and his close friend Lanelle Hyde.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Sumrall and Felicia Jarvis; his grandchildren, Kristine Stafford (Ryan) and Jason Sumrall (Alexandria); and his great grandchildren, Gracie and Wyatt Sumrall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Loaves and Fishes at Lakeside Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
