He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Card Smith; his sisters, Anita E. Baccus and Velma Baccus; and his siblings' children, Martha Jo Hyman, Rondall Baccus, Jason Baccus, Mason Baccus and Rodney Owen.
He is survived by: his son Daniel R. Smith; his sister Evelyn Owen; and his sibling's children, Melody Foster, Ricky Baccus, J. B. Baccus, Jr., Gary Baccus, Eugene Baccus, Jerry Owen and Randall Baccus.
