He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Harper and Dorothy Harper (Smith); his stepfather Truman Rogers; his siblings, Katherine Bush, Ann Jones and Howard Harper; and his niece Felecia Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Harper of Seven Points, Texas; his sons, Roger Harper of Richwood, Texas and Jason Harper of San Marcus, Texas; his stepdaughters, Tracie Baker of Tishomingo, Mississippi and Angela Garza of Mabank, Texas; his grandchildren, Ethan Harper of Richwood, Texas, Christian Harper of San Marcus, Texas, Tiffany Gilley of Mesquite, Texas, Alexandrea Baker of Dallas, Texas and Jaci Belcher of Mabank, Texas; and his brother William Harper (Rae) of Harleton, Texas.
