It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chilton Steele of Grapeland, Texas, born in Iaeger, West Virginia, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lonnie Jay Steele and Mary Launoria Steele (Kennedy). He is survived by : his brothers, James Steel of Grapeland, Texas and David Steele of Grapeland, Texas; his nephew Lonnie Steele (Felicia) of Livingston, Texas; and his niece Mary Steele of Crockett, Texas. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
