She was predeceased by : her parents, Alton Bitner and Miriam Bitner; her brothers, Bobby and Garrell; her husband Joel; and her pet Butch.

She is survived by : her children, Nova Hodges and Scott Houghton (Angela); her granddaughters, Kristen Hodges, Sarah and Samantha Houghton; her sisters, Dorthy Trammell, Linda Bitner McLean (Roger) and Wanda Bitner; and her cousin Cynthia Kennedy. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews and great friends.
