He is survived by: his son James Nicholas Burkhardt; his granddaughter Aca Nicole Burkhardt; his mother Pamela Carol Burkhardt of Albuquerque; and his sisters, Leah Burkhardt (Chris Hooten) and Molly Malizzo (Frank Malizzo). He is also survived by nieces and nephews along with 3 spouses.
