With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Harold Smith Jr. of Grapevine, Texas, born in Hartford, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H Smith and Marjorie Smith (Barnard); his sister Joan; his wives, Nancy Smith and Lou Ephraim Smith; and his aunt Virginia Barnard.
He is survived by: his children, Janine Halverson, Gregg Smith (Linda), Philip Smith (Amanda), Jessie Ephraim (Susan), Todd Ephraim (Sharon) and Erich Ephraim (Delene); and his grandchildren, Kevin Halverson (Grace), Aidan Smith, Kayla Smith (Matt), Haley Ephraim, Haden Ephraim, Braxton Ephraim, Ashley Ephraim and Caitlyn Ephraim. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (6500 Crawford Rd, Argyle, TX 76226). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
