She was predeceased by: her husband Guy Scott James Benedict; her parents, John Proctor Starr and Lily May Staples Starr; and her siblings, John Proctor Starr (Dinah), Mary Ruth Tate (Erman), Emma Elizabeth Ezell (Chess), Bart Starr (Ann), Robbie Handcock (Jim) and Bert Allison Starr (Elanor).
She is survived by: her daughters, Julean Benedict, Tracie Brooks (Steve) and Tammy Swengle (Craig); her grandchildren, Jared Swengle (Tristen), Nicole Stafford (Dyllon), James Brooks (Elizabeth), Brandon Brooks (Stacy) and Ethan Brooks; and her great grandchildren, Casche Brooks, Stella Brooks, Harris Brooks, Shepherd Brooks, Libby Brooks, Scottie Swengle, Della Stafford and Evelynn Stafford.
