Margaret Lane Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 8, 2022, at the age of 92, Margaret Lane of Grapevine, Texas, born in Texarkana, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carl Postlethwaite and Mattie Kate Haldeman Postlethwaite; her siblings, Mary Neely Heslop, James Carl Postlethwaite, Jr. and William Forrest Postlethwaite; and her husband Samuel Arthur Lane, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Artope (John); her grandsons, Lane Artope and Luke Artope; her nieces, Martha Duesterhoft (Paul), Kathy Dammon (Johnny), Sheila Applewhite, Pam Nevell (Ryan) and Carla Ambler; and her nephew Jimi Heslop (Lynn).

While raising Sandra, she focused on volunteer jobs with American Cancer Society, Desoto schools as nurse aide, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
