He was predeceased by: his son Gregg Murrell; and his parents, Joe Murrell and Annie Lea Murrell (Patterson). He is survived by: his wife Janet "Jan" Murrell; his daughter Stephanie Tedder (Thom); his sisters, JoAnn Johns and Janet Justice (Jim Johnson); his brother-in-law Ken Hooton (Brenda); his grandchildren, Trevor Tedder (Tori), Blaine Tedder and Lauren Caunitz (Steven); and his great grandchild Blair Tedder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wade Family Funeral Home (4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Arlington (301 S Center St, Arlington, TX 76010). A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Gardens (1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012).
