He is survived by: his wife Lois Cox; his close friend Mary McCown; his children, Trey Nix and Kimberly Kristina Nix; his sister Vickie Beatty; and his grandchildren, Austin Nix, Nicholas Hernandez Nix, Madison Nix, Noah Nix and Ella Vaughan.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home - Grapevine (700 W Wall St, Grapevine, TX 76051).
