He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Samples and Mordell Meekins Samples; and his sister Tyrona Smith. He is survived by: his wife Faye Samples; his son Mark Samples (Janet); his stepdaughters, Christy Hernandez (Gary) and Sheila Sherrin (Ricky); his siblings, Joe Samples (Sue), John Samples (Debbie), Tyoka Green and Tywona Durham (Karl); and his grandchildren, Emma Samples, Zachary Sherrin, Bradley Sherrin, Ashley Sherrin and Nikki Harris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
