He was predeceased by: his mothers, Doris Herod and Vada Herod; and his brother Bill Herod. He is survived by: his sister Glynis Rosas (Joseph Rosas) of Groesbeck; his niece Kris Staggs; and his nephew Brian Rosas. He is also survived by extended family members and many friends.
