He was predeceased by : his parents, James Cleo Laird and Geneva Estelle Oliver Laird; and his siblings, Thelma Larew, James Robert Laird and Martha Esselman.
He is survived by : his wife Audrey; his children, Crystol Laird and Alan; his daughter-in-law Amee Johnson; his sons, Jason Laird and Michael Laird; and his sisters, Cleo Barnhill, Esther Wilkins, Aniece Brumit, Marie Jenkins (Willard), Joy Franklin (Gary) and Judy Coggins. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
They moved from the lake at Quinlin to their home at Groesbeck with their dog (like a daughter) Angel in January 2020, where they endured the Covid pandemic that year, and the freeze in 2021 - which sent them to a motel for a week.
