He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay T. Ferrill and Lillie Fay Ferrill (Webb); his wife Weynona "Sis" Ferrill; his brother John "Johnny" Ferrill; and his brother-in-law Dean Peters.
He is survived by: his nephew Brandon; his children, Michelle (Chad Ruthart) of Paris, TX and Michael Duane (Tracy Ferrill) of Gladewater, TX; his siblings, Shelia, Gary Hammond of Fairfield and Vickie Ferrill of Fate; his grandchildren, Amanda, Taylor Smith of Katy, Ashley, Zach Thurman of Lovelady and Benjamin "Ben" Moore of Jonestown; and his great grandchildren, Raymond Thurman, Sophia Thurman, Cameron Thurman of Lovelady and Brantley Smith of Katy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins along with a multitude of friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cobb Cemetery Pavilion (Lcr 778, Thornton, TX 76687).
