She was predeceased by: her parents, Ester Smith and John Smith; her husband Thomas Claude Whitehead, Sr.; her children, Thomas Claude Whitehead, Jr. and Linda Joyce Whitehead; and her great grandchild James Whitehead.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Whitehead (Wanda) of Nederland and David Whitehead (Romie) of Groves. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
