With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Wayne Erwin of Groves, Texas, born in Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Douglas Wayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carnul Erwin and Edith Erwin; and his brother Kenneth Erwin of Port Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Terri Erwin; his children, Amber Abshire (Lucas) of Tomball, Darrin Erwin of Groves, James Sandlin of Portland, Oregon and Chelsea Potter (Kirk) of Kingwood; and his siblings, Jill Westbrook of College Station and Tommie Erwin (Sara) of Groves. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
