He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter Bailey and Margaret Hitt. He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Bailey (Broussard); his sons, Brent J. Bailey, Brad P. Bailey (Darla), Brian M. Bailey (Rachel) and Brandon P. Bailey; his grandchildren, Braden P. Bailey, Brynna R. Grillos (Johnny) and Brody L. Bailey; and his siblings, Louise Bailey Jones, Dorothy Bailey Elkins, Janie Bailey Nicotre, Betty Lou Bailey Saunders, Debbie Bailey Fugate and Paul Bailey.
