He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Wendell and Fay Lucille McElroy; his son Craig McElroy; and his brother-in-law Donald Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Linda McElroy; his children, David McElroy (Lesli) and Susan McElroy (Jason Ross); his grandchildren, Mallori McElroy and Abbie McElroy (Travis Crow); his sisters, Sharon Jones (Kenneth) and Joy Fontenot; and his sister-in-law Judy Manuel (Carol).
