She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Ferguson Johnson and Mary Bell Freeman Johnson; her siblings, Rosemary Yeager, Aggie Thompson and August Kasier; and her son Kyle Gavard.

She is survived by: her children, Gabby Hanners Courville (Tiger) of Port Arthur, Kevin Thibeault (Cindy Bolt) of Groves, Guy Thibeault (Alice) of Nederalnd, Brian Gavard of Sabine Pass, Chad Finch (Alison) of Kingwood and Brian Hanners (Aimee) of Killeen. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
