He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Merchant Rife-Cotton; his son Richard Bryan Cotton, Jr.; his stepsons, Ronald Ray Rife, Jr. (Rhonda) and Rodney Reagan Rife (Karen); and his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Rife (Alicia), Carter Rife (Courtney), Roberto Mario Morgan and Rodney Rife, Jr..
