He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur William and Margaret Josephine Evans (Hart); his wife Louise Evans (Tech University) of Texas; and his daughter Sharon Diana Evans Rosser. He is survived by: his brother William Gary (Nelle); his sons, Walter David Evans (Nancy) of Grand Prairie, Michael Gene Evans (Marla) of Amarillo and Timothy Arthur Evans (Leslie) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.; and his grandchildren, Walter Dean Evans, Milton Gregory Evans (Sarah), Joy Lea Evans, Pamela Jean Qualls (Jeremy), Jessica Evans, Jennifer Kessler (Troy), Jason Evans (Rayanne), Austin Evans and Leslie Macias (Ian).
