He was predeceased by: his father Charles Mathews. He is survived by: his mother Reta Joyce Bogan; his daughter Jenny Anne Mathews; his grandsons, Brady and Sam Conway; and his siblings, Micheal Mathews, Paul Land and Joyce Pettigrew (Michelle Mathews). He is also survived by many uncles and cousins.
