He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Long and Dolly Long; and his siblings, Wayne Long and LaRue Conner. He is survived by: his wife Evangeline Hewgley Long; his daughter Jeannie Loar; his grandchild Taylor Bloom; and his siblings, June Harrison and Larry Long (Pat Long) of Arlington.
