He was predeceased by: his spouse Velta Kiser; his daughter Tricia Kiser Byerly; and his parents, Cecil Coy Kiser and Jean Perkins Kiser. He is survived by: his children, James R. Kiser II (Heather) and Melissa Kiser Lee (Bobby); his son-in-law David Byerly; and his grandchildren, Megan Hays, Sarah Moore, Brandon Lee, Jacob Byerly, Will Kiser and Weston Kiser. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
