He is survived by: his children, Sherry Hebert, Bobby DeYoung (Claudia) and Darlene Sonnier; his wife Ida Thibodeaux DeYoung; his daughter Sharon Roberta Fontenot; his grandsons, Phillip Royer, Robert Payne and Roman Rocha; his great great grandchild Kaelyn Grace Barron; his siblings, Herman DeYoung, Raymond DeYoung, Walter DeYoung, Lois Renkema, Jeanette Kunefke and Dorothy Groskerth; and his sons-in-law, Kelly Hebert Sr., Arride Lee Fontenot and Gerald "Cooney" Sonnier.
