He is survived by: his wife Rita Upton; his children, Jana Barrett (Chad) and Matthew Upton (Maria); and his siblings, Marvella Thompson (Glen), Brenda Holcomb and Robert Upton. He is also survived by 5 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren.
