He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thane and Majorie Thane Sr.; his aunt Ruthie; his in-laws, Frank and Josephine Muoio Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Christine Muoio-Genet, Frankie and John David Muoio; his son-in-law Joseph Buddy; and his uncle Carlo Palma.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Jennifer Buddy and Richard (Andrea Thane Jr.); his siblings, Carl (Rose Thane Jr.) and Cynthia Tenney; his grandsons, Johnathan, David, Michael and Owen; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Palisano and Andrea Muoio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
