With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carmen G. Monreal of Harlingen, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2026 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Gutierrez and Francisca Juarez; and her husband Guadalupe Monreal. She is survived by: her children, Hilario Monreal (Gloria), Roy Monreal (Terry), Jose Luis Monreal (Diana), Juan Manuel Monreal (Nellie), Arturo Monreal, Ramiro Monreal, Marta Cruz (Roberto), Frances Diaz (Adan), Lucy Navarrette (Lupe), Carmen Araujo (Gino) and Lupita Ramirez; and her sister Toni Vasquez. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren.
