She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ned "Bill" Young Sr. and Catherine "Carrie Lee" Young; and her siblings, Sandra Kay Young, John Gerard Young and William "Bill" Young Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Karen Ann (Terren) Roark; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Roark and Fallon Bradford (Sterling); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Keagan and Kinsley; her sister-in-law Leslie Young; her nieces and nephews, Charlotte Young, Victoria Young (Cole Gavlick) and Sapphire Young; her children, Rita, Allison, Emily Nelson, Rosemary (Fred), Collins, Mary Ann (Harry), Durham, Nancy (Andre), Goodman, Patricia (David) and Martinez; Jeanne Marie McKeon (Philip).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Cat's memory to the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas — a place she loved and supported.
