He was predeceased by: his parents, Ventura Alaniz and Carolina Garcia; his children, Rudy Alaniz and Rosemary Alaniz Maradiaga; and his siblings, Andres Alaniz, Isabel Eastman and Maria Tamez.
He is survived by: his children, Nelda Alaniz, Christine Gutierrez (Frank), Velma Alaniz (Miguel), Angie Alaniz, Chris Alaniz Jr. (Tracy), Elizabeth Alaniz (Elias) and Gabriel Alaniz (Tiffany). He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
