He was predeceased by: his parents, Cristobal Silva and Olga Garcia Silva; and his sister Anselma Garza. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Leal Silva; his children, Lisa Jones (Tom), Cecilia Chavez (Dion) and David Silva Jr. (Heather); his grandchildren, Melody Jones, Hannah Gibson (Marcus), Ariel Velez (Jesus), Elijah Thomas Jones, Celinda Danielle Perez (Carlos), Nathaniel Emile Chavez (Aleena), Paige Silva and Aaron Silva; his great grandchildren, Grace Perez, Carlos "River" Perez V, Adelaine "Addie" Arielle Perez, Ellie Sunshine Perez, Cooper Gibson, Charlotte Gibson and Cohen Gibson; Mario Silva, Rolando Silva, Sylvia Lopez, Ricardo Silva and Chino Cruz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Harrison Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
