He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lewis and Phyllis Imogene Walters (Taylor); and his siblings, Theodore Clark Walters (Michael) of Hinsdale, IL and Judith Ann Rechsteiner (James) of Harmony, IL. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Auble Walters; his sons, John Anthony (Annette) of Colleyville, TX and Thomas Philip (Krista) of Minnetonka, MN; and his grandchildren, Justin Priest (Trisha), Ashley Kruempel (Matt), Alexander, Michael and Marlee Walters. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to either the St. Johns Foundation or for undergraduate scholarships in chemistry at St. Olaf College.
