She is survived by: her children, Maria Irene Vela, Eduardo Vela (Becky), Danny Vela (Mary) and Jose A. "Tony" Vela (Layne); her siblings, Gavino Cavazos, Janie Gonzalez, Leticia Gutierrez and Yolanda Granados (Frank); her husband Jose Adan Vela; and her siblings, Armando Cavazos, Carlos Montez Antunez and Dolores Quesada. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
