She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Chavez and Manuela Chavez; her husband Hilario Rendon; her siblings, Juan, Lupe, Luis, Celsa, Ediberta, Florinda and Marta; her children, Lilia, Manuela, Hilario Jr. and Nora; her grandchildren, Pablo and Bianca; and her great grandchild Xavier.
She is survived by: her children, Francisco, Obdulia, Leandro, Olivia, Rosa and Zulema. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church (121 Garrison Dr, San Benito, TX 78586). A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Ashland Memorial Park (21037 Godwin Rd, Harlingen, TX 78550).
