He was predeceased by: his parents, Cesario Hernandez and Juanita Lozano Hernandez; and his son Johnny Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Asuncion O. Hernandez; his children, San Juana "Janie" Hernandez Chacon (Luis), Santos Hernandez, Mary Hernandez Sanchez and Cesario Hernandez; his grandchildren, Nicholas Chacon, Carina Chacon, Norma Linda Hernandez Herrera, Gloria Lisa Hernandez, Alyssa Hernandez, Santos Hernandez Jr., Kayla Maria Castaneda, George Anthony Sanchez and Mia Sofia Mills; and his brother Marcelino Hernandez. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, TX 78559).
